Henry Dudley

Executive Chef

Capital Hill’s premier soul food restaurant and lounge, District Soul Food (DSF), is proud to announce the addition of Chef Henry Dudley as Managing Partner and Director of Operations.

Chef Dudley has held several prominent roles overseeing high-volume Food and Beverage operations for popular restaurant chains up and down the east coast and has worked for a variety of respected hospitality company leaders during the last 20 plus years of his culinary career.

Following his graduation in 1995 from Virginia State University, Chef Dudley attended New York Restaurant School. Early in his career, he spent his time learning day-to-day restaurant operational responsibilities in various managerial roles. After four years as a kitchen supervisor at the popular American restaurant chain Houlihan’s Restaurant in New Jersey, Dudley moved on to Chevy’s Restaurant Group in New York. There, he served as assistant kitchen manager and worked as a member of the corporate training team, assisting with the recruitment and training of new managers. Dudley also led the task force team during new restaurant openings in New Jersey, Maryland, Massachusetts, and North Carolina. His Corporate Chef experience includes overseeing the food and beverage program for over 72 hotels with the Columbia Sussex Corporation, which include the Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt brands. Most recently, he served as Executive Chef at TAP Sports Bar at MGM National Harbor, and McLoone’s Pier House, also located at National Harbor.

As a successful Chef and Hospitality Executive with over two decades of experience, Chef Dudley brings the highest level of professionalism in successful restaurant operations to District Soul Food. Customers can expect to see influences of his signature style that exemplifies both Washington sophistication and warm southern hospitality when they visit DSF going forward.

Chef Dudley joins owners, Craig Parkinson, David Roundtree, Ed Reynolds, Chris Alston, and Chris Everette in their vision to establish DSF as the top soul food restaurant and adult lounge in all of the DMV.
